Tayybeh is an Arabic word meaning both ‘kind’ and ‘delicious’. The word embodies the spirit of the Tayybeh catering company – a group of seven female Syrian refugees who are building new lives in Vancouver through sharing Syrian cuisine.
I Directed, Edited, and shot the majority of this short documentary profiling this inspiring group of women. I was awarded funding through Telus STORYHIVE to create this film.
